Using Tempo
Terms & verification texts
Effective September 13, 2026
These terms describe use of Tempo, a personal task-planning app operated by Abhay Dalmia, and its authentication-text program.
Using Tempo
Use Tempo to create and manage your own tasks, schedules and activity history. You are responsible for the information you enter. Do not use the app to access someone else's account, disrupt the service, or request verification messages to a number you do not control.
Your account
Initial account setup uses email, Google or Apple sign-in followed by phone verification. Keep your sign-in methods secure and tell us if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission. We will never ask you to email us your password or verification code.
Tempo authentication texts
By entering a phone number you control and tapping Send verification code or Send sign-in code, you request a Tempo authentication text at that number. This program sends one-time codes for phone verification and account sign-in. It does not send advertisements, promotional offers or task reminders.
- Frequency: one text per code request. Additional requests or resends may result in additional messages.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan.
- Code validity: codes expire after five minutes. Never share a code with another person.
View the in-app sign-in screen and SMS disclosure.
Stopping texts and getting help
Reply STOP to opt out of Tempo texts. You may receive a confirmation of your opt-out. Once opted out, new text codes cannot be delivered. Reply START to opt back in. Returning users can also choose an available email, Google or Apple sign-in method for their account.
Reply HELP for help with the text-message program, or contact Tempo support using the address below. For sign-in problems, include a description of what happened but not your password or code.
Availability and delivery
Tempo and text delivery can be interrupted by network conditions, device settings, service-provider outages or carrier filtering. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Tempo is a personal planning tool; do not rely on it as an emergency service or as the only record of time-critical information.
Privacy and updates
Our Privacy Policy describes how account, planner and messaging information is used. We may update these terms when the app or messaging program changes. The date above identifies this version.
